The Rain: Begin Fight

December 6, 2008

The rain poured down, washing away any facial expression that could be seen. Geoff looked towards the sky, trying to find any reason why he could be in this situation, once again.

“We don’t have to do this here. We don’t have to fight, you can just walk away from here.” Geoff didn’t have to cry, there was enough rain covering his face.

Lena sneered. “Oh but there is so much you can fight for today. It could very we—today very much will be your end. I will silence you, just like everyone else who dared to oppose me. But…killing you might not be the worst fate I could deliver.”

Geoff brushed the wet snakes of hair off of his forehead. “You don’t have to be evil; you can change for the better.”

“And you can change me?” A snicker escaped Lena’s cruel, twisted lips. “I won’t kill you, no, you’re powerful. I could use that power. You’ll get the same fate as Brian.” Lena lifted her right hand up and looked at the charm bracelet on her wrist.

Geoff stared at the bracelet. “You trapped him inside of your charms?” He spit rain out of his mouth.

“Indeed I did, a powerful idiot Brian was. The power inside of him, he gave me a new sense of what it felt like to desire power. He seemed to desire more power much more than even myself. It feels good, too. Oh, and he’s quite the arrogant one too, I’m glad I turned him into a charm. I feel renewed!” Lena wrapped her finger around the charm.

Geoff set his feet in the wet grass, trying to get his stance as solid and strong as possible. “Let him go, or I’ll get him out myself.” His eyes met with Lena’s.

“He’s mine now.” As soon as Lena finished, Geoff dashed at her.

The Rain: Dreaming

December 6, 2008

Geoff opened his eyes. His hands felt much larger than usual. His feet felt much larger, too. He looked past his feet, and saw trees, tiny as ants. “This must be a dream.” Geoff took a step, crushed a mountain.

“Maybe it is a dream.” Geoff looked up and saw Kero.

“You’re alive!” Geoff smiled as he finished.

“Nope, still dead. This is just a dream.” Kero sounded normal.

“No croak? You’ve improved your speech!”

“No, you’re just dreaming, and I can sound anyway I want if it’s not real.”

“But why am I dreaming?” Geoff didn’t know.

“Trying to escape from the battle at hand maybe?”

“I’m not running away. She hit me pretty well.”

“Hit her back then. I taught you well enough to handle a girl, didn’t I?”

“The most powerful girl alive in the world today.” Geoff was trying his best.

“Well then make her dead, and she won’t be alive anymore.”

“What wisdom, so much in fact that it doesn’t even make sense.”

“Or does it, Geoff? I think you know what you have to do.” Still no croak.

“I don’t know… my mind doesn’t feel clear right now.”

“Well no duh, that’s because you’re in your mind right now.”

“So it is a dream?”

“Of course.” Kero smirked.

“So why am I having a dream?”

“Because you needed to find me in a dream, I suppose. But you know what you have to do now. You have to wake up.” Kero finally croaked.

The Rain: Fight Two

December 6, 2008

The rain continued to fall, so the blood running down Geoff’s face was washed away for no one to see. Lena hit him with some good shots so far. “Stupid boy, you can’t possibly beat me, you’re no where near as talented as you’re precious Kero.” Lena smirked as Geoff defended blow after blow from Lena’s magic branch. “You don’t have your security blanket to save you this time. Keep this up, and you’ll die just like that frog.” Lena hissed as she tried to break Geoff with more blows.

Geoff jumped back to catch himself a break in the fight. “You killed him?” His arms trembled as his hands shook in anger. “He taught me everything I know, he made me as powerful and strong as I am today.” Steam started to come from his body; it was so hot with anger and energy.

“That’s right, get angry, it still won’t be enough to beat me, but it’ll be fun.” Lena cackled. “Use that pain of loss to greatly increase your strength! I want a fun time before I put you right down again!”

Geoff screamed and dashed as Lena. Her eyes grew wide as the fun began. Geoff punched right through the magic branch, shattering it into pieces. Lena shook her hand as shards of her branch fell to the ground. She looked down at the broken shards, then back up at Geoff. He threw another series of punches at her. Lena stepped back, raised her hand, and beamed her eyes at him. Geoff froze in place, and fall to the ground, out cold.

“You stupid boy, I told you that you weren’t enough to beat me, even your stupid lizard teacher wasn’t. I’m invincible, and you’re just another person on the list.” Lena stepped over to Geoff’s body and stared at it, before spitting on ground, and punting Geoff in the head.

Geoff was now in another world.

The Rain: Brian

December 6, 2008

Brian scoffed at Geoff. “You’re no equal of mine. Your ability, your power…it’s embarrassing. Not even worth of allowing someone to relate you to me. Is this some sort of game to you, or are you really this unable to stand toe to toe with me?” Brian stood over Geoff, staring down at him; Geoff could see the fire in his eyes. Geoff sprung up to his feet and got one good, one complete shot in on Brian, sending Brian to his hands and feet, coughing up blood.

Grunts, mumbles, gasps echoed from Brian. “One hit? One did this much damage to me? I’m pathetic. I couldn’t even see that my own twin brother was better than me. That doesn’t even make sense; I was breaking him with every hit!” Brian struggled to get up to his feet, blood still running from his mouth.

A breeze blew through the hair of Geoff as he stood that, staring at Brian, panting after the hit he delivered to him. “You’re so powerful. It’s amazing. You could be so much stronger than anyone else alive if you just knew your weaknesses.” Brian snarled as his eyes met with Geoff’s again.

“Stop mocking me now!” Brian clutched his midsection.

“But you are so amazingly strong, and I’m telling you the truth! I’ve never seen it before ever!” Geoff was trying his best to sound sincere, as he really meant what he was saying.

“Mocked by my own brother, bettered by my own brother as well. I might as well go and allow myself to suffer on my own.” Brian started to slowly walk away, dragging his left foot behind him, stumbling with ever other step as he still felt a massive pain in his stomach. “I will get stronger and I will show him, that fool, that he shouldn’t mock me. I’ll kill Lena myself and show the world I’m the greatest.” He whispered to himself.

The Rain: The Ground

December 6, 2008

Geoff laid on the ground, his body and limbs sore and unresponsive. The rain continued to pour down onto his face. The blood streamed out from the side of his lip as he lay in the slushy mud, a smile still on his face. Then there was a footstep, a foot right on the ball of his right shoulder, a sharp, wide pain.

“The same fate as your beloved teacher. I bet he told you that you really could beat me, no matter what lack of ability you had compared to me. It’s funny that you’ll die thinking that as well, because that’s exactly what he thought when I killed him too.” Lena pressed her foot down harder into Geoff’s shoulder, he could feel his arm start to lose feeling and give out.

Geoff turned his head slowly side to side, as if he were saying no to Lena. The fingers on his left hand twitched in pain as he couldn’t help letting helplessness take over his body. Words tried to escape his mouth, but nothing could find the strength to overcome the presence of Lena, she was so overpowering, her force of will. “…” Geoff spit out some blood much to the approval of Lena.

“I thrive on your pain, your suffering. Just like the rest, except for you, I have a special plan for you, just like your stupid twin brother! You’ll become part of my power just like he is right this moment! As I crush your body, can’t you feel his power, running through your body, ruining you just as much as I am?” There was a shriek as Lena brushed her hand through her hair, spitting down at Geoff’s broken body. “Your unwillingness to just give up and die, I love that, it’s something no one else could give me so far, you sir, you will definitely make me more complete than I ever was before…” Lena looked down into the eyes of Geoff, not a drop of fear could be seen in them at all, not one scared eye, but a steady look, right into her own eyes. There it was.

The Rain: Library

December 6, 2008

Lena sat at the table in the library, flipping through pages of book after book, becoming more disgruntled with each book she flipped though. “It has to be here somewhere, I can find the answer I’m sure.” She wasn’t losing hope; she was just losing faith the in answer actually being where she thought it would be.

One answer, it was all she needed to find out, and it would all be revealed. The mark on her face, the new sense of awareness she had to everything around her. She could see better, think faster, taste the particles in the sky, feel the still air, and she could hear everything around her as well. Not too loud, but not silent whispers either. “Give in.” She could hear them, like they were calling out to her personally. “Join us.” Lena looked around, not seeing a person staring at her, much less talking to her. “Soon.” She closed her eyes, shook her head and focused back on the books.

The voices may have disappeared for now, but soon they would return.

Lena flipped through more pages, sighing with each additional book passed through. “There has to be the explanation somewhere. I’ll find my power somewhere. I can feel the power inside of me; I just can’t use it…” Lena snarled as the book she was looking through failed to give an answer to her as well. She clenched her fist and slammed it on the open book lying in front of her. The book started to singe around her first. Her eyes widened as she saw the smoldering paper.

Lena felt a pulse run through her veins before she could unclench her fist. “What was that?” Moving her opened hand around, she glanced at it wondering what happened. Lena was unable to find the answer she was looking for, but even though she was unable to find the answer, little did she know that the answer she was looking for would soon come and find her, personally.

The Rain: Meeting Kero

December 6, 2008

Geoff woke up, but Geoff didn’t understand a thing as soon as his eyes opened. He was lying on the ground, dirt surrounding him on all sides. “Where am I?” A standard question to ask if you just woke up somewhere you have never been to before. Looking around and rubbing his eyes, Geoff jumped to his feet and stretched his arms out, taking a second to gather in the scenery. “Am I still alive?” Geoff asked out loud to himself.

“Of course you are.” A croaking voice could be heard, but not seen.

“Who are you?” Geoff wanted to know who told him this piece of information.

Around the fat trunk of an old tree stepped out a glittering green being with the occasional speck of purple shine. Geoff could see what was in front of him, but he had no idea what it was. “What are you?” His finger aimed at the green being.

“Don’t you want to know who I am, first?” The green being croaked as it spoke.

Geoff gave a squint. “At this point, I think both questions are equally important.”

“I suppose you are right. Well allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kero. I know many things throughout this land, and I will over time answer many questions that you will undoubtedly ask me.” Kero tried his best to sound wise by hiding his croaking as he spoke.

“Kero? I guess you look a lot like a Kero. That still leaves me with one question; what are you, Kero?”

“I am what you could call a giant salamander. Like a large lizard, except I’m much better looking than any other lizard you may have seen before.” Kero was basically a big walking-on-two-legs lizard with snowy facial hair.

“You’re probably right; every lizard I’ve seen was inside of a glass box.”

“That sounds horrid, living in a glass box.”

The Rain: Ability

December 6, 2008

The abilities in life that we’re given, these abilities we have to get through it all. We all have abilities but we all need each others abilities to get our jobs done. We each are given a different set of abilities and only a select few have enough ability to get it done alone.

There will be a time in our lives where someone will look us in the eye, and tell us that we have some sort of ability. These people even tell us that we may even have a gift, this gift that we have as a pure raw talent. Never learned how to use this talent, but we’re just really good in the area that it deals with. They’ll even offer to help you refine that raw ability to turn it into something amazing that will bring you great achievements in life.

But when these abilities are being developed in our lives, we have to discover the responsibility that comes with our sets of skills. Responsibility is that giant loud being in the corner of our eyes at every point of the day. This beast will lead us to the major crossroads in our lives, and for some the only crossroads they ever experience.

The crossroads composes of a simple question that we all have to answer: do we use our abilities for the aid of good, or do we use our abilities for the aid of evil? No matter which choice we make, it will definitely have the abilities to change or shape the entire world. When we all break it down, it will always come down to good, or evil.

In life, it’s always going to be our choice whether or not to harness our ability in the best way we see fit. For some, they’re born to see everything in a helping light. For others, they see everything in the evil light that they want it to be, so they can bring chaos with them. But for some, we need help coming to a conclusion, and that’s what life is all about.

The Rain: Meeting

December 2, 2008

The lady with extravagant charm bracelets looked down at Geoff. “Have I seen you around here before?”

Geoff shook his head. “Nope, I’ve never seen you before.”

“Well, I am Lena; I am the ruler of this land.”

“You rule this land?”

“Yes, I do. I’m the chosen one, chosen by the gods with their tears. Their tear gave me powers that no one else in this world has, and I took it upon myself to rule this land.”

“Well, that makes sense, I suppose.”

“I have powers you couldn’t even begin to imagine.”

“I don’t know, I have watched a bit of TV in my time.”

“TV?”

“It’s hard to explain, Miss Lena.”

Queen Lena, if you must.”

“Well, queen, it was nice meeting you, I’ll see you around sometime.”

“I get the feeling that I will meet you again, soon. Before you leave, tell me your name.”

“Geoff.” Geoff started to walk away.

“Does the name Brian ring a bell to you?”

“Not in the least bit, Lena.”

Queen Lena. Well, he looks an awful lot like you do. If you ever run into him, you’ll know.”

Geoff walked away deeper into the forest.

The Rain: Kero

December 2, 2008

Kero was your typical old man filled with wisdom. He had the typical long, thin, gray and white facial hair. He was bald on top, but not because he went bald, but because he was a giant salamander. A giant salamander with greenish, purplish colored ski, he could walk to two legs just like a normal person though.

Kero was not born a giant salamander though, or even born with the name Kero. In the past, Kero was known to his peers as a mister T. X. Jörn. But many years ago, a chance meeting with Lena in her early stage of developed powers, Kero and Lena got into a heated argument about abilities and what they could and should be used for. Lena had no grasp of her true power, or any formal training to be able to use it, so she wildly attacked Kero with some random charm and it turned Kero into the giant salamander that he is today.

Kero still was a wealthy deposit of knowledge and figured he could still teach people to control their abilities in order to possibly one day become the one person to defeat Lena. Kero takes on pupils regularly and tries to his fullest to help them unearth hidden powers and strength not known of them before. For some, Kero is even a father figure, even though he is a giant salamander.

Kero was a student of a man named Baron Von Adkins, a very long time ago when he was known as T.X. Jörn. The Baron taught him many of the things he knows today, and previous to Lena, the Baron was the last human to be marked with the cry of the gods, giving him newfound powers. In his dying wishes, the Baron gave Kero all of his knowledge and some of his ability. The Baron told Kero that he wished for Kero to spread this power to any good person willing to learn it. With that, Kero took this gift and began roaming the land, teaching any good person willing to learn.
